Our Rose City Synchro Coaching Staff is full of a diverse set of skills and backgrounds to make sure that our team has access to all the necessary skills and opportunity to be successful.
Emily Ryder
Head Coach
Emily is the head coach of Rose City Synchronicity and has been coaching the team since 2022. Emily grew up in Massachusetts and started on the Prisms, an Open Juvenile team. She then went on to skate for Team Boston (Novice), Warwick Synchro (Junior), Team Excel (Junior). She received her Bachelor's of Science in Biomedical Science from the University of New Hampshire, where she skated on their collegiate team all four years of college. Emily then attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she skated collegiate for one year, and coached the collegiate line the following year. Following academics, Emily skated on the Colonial Adult line for several years before relocating to the West Coast. When not skating, Emily works as a Clinical Dietitian in the ICU.
Stephanie Tancs
Assistant Coach
Stephanie is the assistant coach of Rose City Synchronicity Open Juvenile. She grew up in Connecticut, skating for the Skating Club of Southern Connecticut on the Shimmers (Pre-Juvenile) and the Shadows (Open Juvenile). She then attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she skated for the Illinois Synchronized Skating Team (Collegiate) and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. She also works at Intel.
